Education is the key to intervening in the cycle of violence
between humans and animals. By visiting schools, scout troops,
summer camps and adult groups, we teach the importance of
treating all living beings with kindness. The less obvious,
but no less important part of our education efforts is the
daily interaction we have with adopters, owners, members and
the public. Over the phone or in person we can assist with
everything from how to select the best pet for you, to how
to correct problem pet behavior.
In our efforts to reach the public with the knowledge they
need to improve and enrich their lives with animals, we publish
the quarterly newsletter Paw Prints, which is filled with
tips and information, as well as a listing of upcoming Humane
League events.
The Humane
League of Lancaster County is an independent non-profit organization
for the prevention of cruelty
to animals and the care of stray and unwanted animals. We
are a 501(c)3 IRS Approved Charity.
