Stop Animal
Cruelty

The Humane League of Lancaster County is dedicated to creating a humane community where all pets are protected and wanted. We employ a full time Humane Officer who works in cooperation with local and state law enforcement agencies, the District Attorney’s Office, Probation and Parole Offices, as well as Children and Youth Services. We respond to hundreds of reports of animal abuse and neglect each year including reports of dog fighting, rooster fighting, incidents regarding no shelter, no food or water, unsanitary living conditions, inadequate veterinary care and physical abuse. Our Humane Officer enforces the laws of the State of Pennsylvania regarding animal abuse and neglect under PA State Crimes Code Title 18 Sec. 5511.
