Friday, May 4, a group of employees from  XL Insurance donated their time and supplies to the HLLC, as part of  their  annual GDOG (Global Day of Giving).  XL Insurance helped out  150+ community projects all over the world as far as Australia , with 2100+ employees participating. We are so glad that the Humane League was one of the recipients of the GDOG. The work done by the XL staff made a huge difference to the Humane League– its animals and staff.

The HLLC would like to  extend a huge THANK YOU to XL Insurance for choosing the Humane League as a recipient for their annual GDOG (Global Day of Giving). Some of the projects at the shelter included: painting the small mammal room, weeding in front of the vet building, clearing out a dog run, and donating much needed items such as kitten food, toys, “pooper scoopers,” and laundry detergent. We are so grateful to XL Insurance for donating their time and supplies. Their generous donations truly made a difference for all of our furry friends and humans too,  at the shelter. Thank you! On May 12, 2012, the Bright Side Oppor­tu­nities Center will be holding the clinic in their parking lot from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This is an open event so no appoint­ments are necessary. In addition, because this event will be held outside, it will not be held if it rains. The Bright Side Oppor­tu­nities Center is located at 515 Hershey Avenue, Lancaster, Pa 17603.

At a cost of only 10 dollars( cash or check) per dog, all pets will be given DHPP and Rabies vacci­na­tions. Both the Humane League of Lancaster County and the Bright Side Oppor­tu­nities Center respect­fully request that, for the safety of all pets and patrons, all dogs be kept on leashes while they wait to be vacci­nated. Dog licenses will also be available for purchase as well.
