History
|
The Humane League of Lancaster County is an independent, non-profit organization that is recognized as the area's leader in animal welfare. Our dedicated staff and volunteers provide compassion and care to nearly 11,000 animals each year through a variety of services. Our unique foster care program allows to us save even more lives while our partnerships with other rescues and shelters help us place an ever increasing number of animals in permanent and loving homes. We value our volunteers, members, and supporters as important contributors to the work that we do. Through working together, we can achieve our vision of creating a humane community where all animals are protected and wanted.

Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic for Pitbulls Help do your part to decrease pet overpopulation by getting your pitbull or pitbull mix spayed or neutered! Spaces are limited so register now. Wine & Wet Noses Art Gallery Event Visit the Liz Hess and Christiane David Galleries (140-142 N. Prince St. Lancaster) for an evening of art and animals! Enjoy Hor D'ourves and wine as you mingle with art enthusiasts and Humane League supporters alike. The artists will be generously donating 20% of all sales during the evening to the Humane League!

Tailwagger's Trot 
Raise money for the homeless pets of Lancaster County and enjoy a great day of family fun! Registration starts at 10 a.m. at Clipper Stadium with the Trot kick off at 11:15. We will walk past F&M to Buchanan Park where you can enter your pet in our costume contest, stop by our children’s area, and then grab a bite to eat while you enjoy live music and entertainment.
