- Email a recent picture of your pet to lostdog@humaneleague.com or lostcat@humaneleague.com
- Come to the HLLC: Due to the risk of misidentification over the phone and due to the many animals we receive on a daily basis, we strongly urge you to come to the shelter and walk through our facility to verify that your pet is not here.
- Create a missing pet flyer and post it around your neighborhood

- Contact other local shelters: If you live in a township or borough that does not contract with the HLLC for animal control services, and your pet is picked up by a PA State Dog Warden, he/she may be taken to a shelter in a neighboring county. (Click here for a lost of townships and boroughs that do not contract with us.)

Did you find an animal?
If you have found a stray animal, please use the Lost/Found Report Form located in the sidebar on the right. You can also contact the shelter at (717) 393‑6551 to fill out a found report. If you are unable to care for the animal until an owner is found and you need to bring the animal to the Humane League, please note that we are only able to accept stray animals from townships and boroughs who have contracted with us to provide animal control services.
If you have found an animal in an area that has chosen not to contract with the HLLC to provide housing and care for its stray animals, you will need to contact the specific borough or municipality in which the animal was found. 14 Year Old Female Jack Russel with a green collar! Hard of Hearing! Comes to Specky or Speckles. White with some brown.
Cinch is a lab mix breed, he is tan & white. He is about 2 ft tall and weighs about 40lbs. Neither of his ears stand up straight but one does stand up a little more than the other. His tail is about half the length of a normal length tail, and when he wags his tail his whole body wags with it. He is very friendly and he knows his name; "Cinch" and will respond to it.
Dog lost in willow street PA near EM Herr Hardware, off of Boehms road on Thursday night around 9pm. His name is "Syler" He is a German Shepherd Pit-bull mix, fawn in color with some white on his chest, very friendly, loves people, kids, and other dogs. He was last seen wearing a brown collar with silver rivets, there are no tags on the collar but he does have a micro chip for them to contact us if brought to the Humane league . Miniature Yorkie, mainly black with brown, 10 months old wandered out of our yard at 381 Koser Road in Manheim Township. The closest intersecting road is Weaver Road. Has an invisible fence collar and a turquoise blue collar. He is microchipped and his number is 985–121-009–194-176. Very friendly. Loves children.
Husky/Yellow Lab mix. Looks more like a husky but has the color of a yellow lab. Approximately 80 lbs.
Bronx is a brindle pit bull/boxer mix

small ,adult, pomerain male dog. 6–8 pounds. was not neutered. Was given on a trial basis, with the understanding & agreement, that if it didnt work out, she was to return him. back in June 2011. Person NEVER returned him to owner She gave him away a month or two later !! Owner became aware of this on Dec. 13,2011. this person was informing owner, that he was fine all this time !!Gizmo is registraed with his owner. Found dog at the Garden Court Apartments complex this morning, 2/9/12, around 10:15 a.m. Looks like Poodle or Yorkie mix, short blonde curly hair with a red does collar and red collar usually used to hold tags/leash. Very friendly, about 5–8 lbs. Good with my 3 yr old daughter...

26 pounds, Older dog. Very shy and not very trusting. She was found wandering around in the pouring rain in a rural area. I believe she may have been dumped.. she had no collar but the mark was in her fur that said there WAS a collar on her at one time, nails are not super long so they have been trimmed, and she did very well with getting a bath so she is used to that as well. She was very cold and very scared! She is constantly whining at the door, she misses her people terribly!
Dalmatian/Pitbull Mix?, She is definitely a dalmatian mixed with something else, small-medium size, very thin, black and white, black ears, white legs with black spots, black tail w/white tip, also black spots on face. Very sweet, friendly, female. She walks nice on leash, has an excellent temperament, she seems to really like people and kids.

Found 50lbs mix breed female. She appears to possibley be a mix between hound dog, pit bull and Shar pei. She appears to be 1–2 yrs old.

UNNEUTERED MALE, TIGER STRIPED WITH TAN, BIG BOY A LITTLE OVER 2 YEARS OLD. KNOWS HIS NAME "PRINCE"
About 8 months old. Took her in as an abandoned kitten back in November. She only lets me pick her up usually. Doesn't know her name yet. She is all black. Left with my other cat, Prince. Would hopefully be following him because they are usually inseperable.

Miles is black with a white tuxedo collar and paws. When he's sitting his collar looks Santa Clause's beard. His mouth appears crooked on the one side due to his black and white markings.
Hobbes is a small, young male cat, not neutered yet but he is declawed. He is very skittish and unlikely to walk up to you. He has a microchip but no collar. He is a brown tiger stipe. If you spot a cat that looks like this, please call and we will send someone out immediately! He is very missed.

Grey neutered male cat with white bib, paws (with all claws), nose, and right half of muzzle. He has thick fur and yellow/green eyes. He is missing most of right upper canine tooth. He is extremely friendly. He was last seen wearing a silver reflective collar with a glow tag with my phone number on it in the vicinity of Old Rothsville Rd in Rothsville (between Lititz and Ephrata.) Chubby loving lazy cat declawed in the front
Long hair, grey/black Maine Coon, mix, 10 year old, female cat. She is spaded, front declawed, very shy, has black paws and face, and a small white patch on her chest.
Schnopie is a very socialable cat you will ever meet. He has been missing now for almost a year. He was a barn cat in Strasburg, PA. We have not seen him since June 2011. If you find him, please bring him back home. We miss him greatly.

Bootsy is a female that has white coloring on bottom, tan and tiger striping with a tan nose. She is not spayed or declawed, somewhat shy with strangers.
Echo is a white cat with gray/black markings on forehead, ears, back, and tail. He is neutered but not declawed. He is very friendly, and will start to drool a bit when he is being pet. He jumped out of his box after being vaccinated at the cat clinic. His shots are up to date.

Gizmo is going on her 2nd birthday; has always been an inside cat. Very unique in her coloring between grey, black, tan, brown and white boots. She has white on the nape of her nose and under her neck. She gets scared very easily.

Stubby is a short, stocky, light orange, short haired cat.He usually has gunk in his eyes like dirt. He is approximately just over the age of two years old. He has a defect on the top of his tail. It almost looks like he had an injury to it when he was younger. He is a friendly cat. He also is not neutered. We dont own Stubby but he has been apart of our family since he was a kitten. He was born to a stray cat in our neighborhood and we have taken care of him ever since. Stubby is an outside cat who comes to our house to visit and to eat every day a couple times a day but unfortunately we havent seen him in almost a week.

He is a furry Maine Coon, pretty large. About 3 years old. His back is black and he fades to stripes on his face and on his body and legs. His ears have little black tufts of fur on the tips. He has yellow eyes. He is very friendly and will probably come to you if you call his name. He does have claws, but does not usually use them.

Striking young female all white cat with clar blue eyes and pink nose. Quite comfortable around people. It showed up in our neighborhood (Village Park Development in Neffsville) in the last several days. I cannot find any sort of distinguishing mark–no nicks out of the ears, no obvious scars. Very relaxed.

Long haired, tan and white cat. I am unsure of the gender. This cat was found right outside the Turkey Hill on Hershey Avenue in Lancaster. The cat is very friendly, in fact tried to come into the store a couple of times.

Orange kitty, very friendly and loves people. We found him at our Dutch Cousin Campground campsite. He first showed up on Sunday, January 8th and hung around all day. We fed him and left to go home to NJ. He returned again this past Sunday, January 15th. He hung around our campsite all day until it go dark. We decided to bring him back home to NJ with us so he could be warm and be fed.
light tan and cream domestic shorthair; appr. 1.5–2 yrs. old; EXTREMELY friendly; un-neutered male; loves horses! Poor guy has lost an eye.
Medium to large sized short hair cat. Dark brown/black, mixed with tan, and white under chin and belly. White front paws and 1/2 of back legs. What looks to be a bite mark (two teeth) on left ear. Quite friendly, meows a lot.
Young dark charcoal colored shorthaired male cat. He is extremely affectionate, friendly, very lovey, purrs quickly and loves to eat. He is neutered; front declawed and rear claws are trimmed. He has a small white spot on his lower belly and even smaller white spots under both of his front “armpits”. He loves to have his belly rubbed. He has been living under a tarp covering our deck furniture for approx. the past 2 weeks. I have never heard him growl or hiss at hte other cat that visits our deck. As much as I’d like to, I cannot bring him indoors as we have 2 other cats (brother and sister) and they would not be very appreciative.
